OUR FOCUS: Providing education and clinical training for physicians and health-care professionals.

OUR SPECIALTY: Training physicians and other health-care professionals to effectively diagnose and treat pulmonary diseases, particularly tobacco dependence.

FOR PHYSICIANS:

Our curriculum and training programs provide physicians what they should have been taught in medical school, so that they can successfully diagnose and effectively treat tobacco-dependent patients, using state-of-the-art best practices.

For current materials and practical practice tools, review the American College of Chest Physicians Treating Tobacco Dependence tool kit at www.chestnet.org

FOR NURSES:

Our curriculum and training programs provide nurses with the knowledge and skills they need to assess and manage tobacco-dependent patients. Nurses have more time with patients than other health professionals and, therefore, are in a unique position to assist patients to stop smoking and become life-long non-smokers.
